Budget 2022 is likely to be largely focused on spending, but is expected to include up to €500 million for new tax measures. We would hope that the focus will be on keeping Ireland competitive for both domestic businesses and foreign direct investment, together with effective use of tax policies and measures to tackle the housing crisis and climate change. On personal taxes, no rate increases are expected but a general indexation of Income Tax bands and credits is anticipated. 

Patrick Fannon, Tax Director with RBK Chartered Accountants, will provide an overview of the tax measures introduced.

Oliver Mangan, Chief Economist with AIB will give his expert opinion on the likely impact of Budget 2022 on the economy.
